Centering Care Towards a Wellbeing Economy Beyond Growth

What does a fair, just, and sustainable transformation towards a care-centered economy beyond growth look like? The aim of this panel is to explore the pillars of a caring economy and to highlight the shortcomings of our current economic system. We will focus on the topic of care work, which is any work that enables and drives the sustainability of life within our societies, as well as its connection with gender, inequality, and climate. We intend to discuss how care is currently (under)valued in our economic system and dive into what it would take to move beyond GDP [Gross Domestic Product].
