Join us for a dynamic 1.5-hour session on the transformative power of taxation in fostering environmental sustainability and social equity. This session will explore the role of progressive green taxes in addressing climate inequality while simultaneously meeting environmental challenges. Our distinguished panel, featuring experts from Africa, Asia and Europe, from civil society and academia, will delve into pathways for implementing global and national green tax solutions. The session will contribute to the understanding on how taxes can serve the purposes of:

  • Limiting polluting and environmental-damaging behaviors

  • Reducing social and economic inequalities

  • Raising revenue for social and environmental purposes
